Chess provides a way to encourage personal development and encourage learning skills-this has been proven in various studies done by the Chess in Schools and Communities organisation.
Of course i will need to be supervised by a teacher but i will use well trusted techniques to develop a person or childs imagination in the game concentrating in the early period on making the game fun to learn.
I have experience working as a lecturer in a further education college in Dallam School and have taught various skillls in computing to various adults.
